About
I am a First-Class Aerospace Engineering graduate with strong CAD and practical engineering design experience. My main CAD work has been through my Olympic Nacra 17 sailing campaign, where I design and prototype bespoke components for a high-performance foiling catamaran.
I use Onshape as my primary CAD platform, with additional experience in SolidWorks, ANSYS and MATLAB. My work includes designing mechanical parts, 3D-printable components, fittings, mounts and prototype assemblies, with a focus on practical usability, strength, weight, material choice and manufacturability.
I enjoy turning real-world problems into simple, functional designs and refining them through testing and feedback.

CAD Design for Olympic Nacra 17 Sailing Components
After completing my Aerospace Engineering degree, I began an Olympic sailing campaign in the Nacra 17 class, with the long-term goal of competing at LA 2028 or Brisbane 2032. Alongside training and competition, I have applied my engineering and CAD skills to design and develop bespoke components for the boat.
This has included using CAD, 3D printing and basic FEA to design practical parts for a high-performance marine environment. One example is the development of components for the mainsheet system, which controls sail shape and is subject to high loads, movement and reliability requirements. I have used Onshape to design custom parts, assess load paths, consider material choice and refine designs through real-world testing on the boat.
I have also worked on other custom fittings, mounts and small mechanical components where weight, durability, ease of use and manufacturability are important. This experience has allowed me to combine engineering theory with practical design, prototyping and problem solving in a demanding real-world setting.
