I am a Mechanical Design Engineer specialising in CAD design, manufacturing detailing, CAD/CAM, and production documentation. I have professional experience in the staircase manufacturing industry, where I work on projects from architectural and engineering drawings through to detailed design, fabrication, and installation.
I am proficient in Autodesk Inventor, and Fusion 360, with strong experience in 2D drafting, 3D modelling, assemblies, shop drawings, material take-offs, and design for manufacturing. I have practical experience detailing staircases, balustrades, handrails, steel and timber components, and developing drawings that are suitable for real-world fabrication.
My key strength is combining engineering knowledge with practical manufacturing experience. I don't just create drawings that look correct—I consider how components will be manufactured, assembled, fixed, and installed. This helps me identify potential fabrication issues early and produce accurate, practical, manufacturing-ready documentation.
I am comfortable working from architectural drawings, structural plans, PDFs, sketches, site measurements, and client requirements. I also work closely with engineers, builders, project managers, installers, and manufacturers to resolve technical issues and deliver projects accurately and on time.
I am interested in working on CAD drafting, 3D modelling, manufacturing detailing, cabinetry/joinery, CNC/CAD-CAM, staircase, and general engineering design projects. I am also comfortable learning new software and adapting to client-specific workflows.
