About
I am a licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer and the founder of Solvify LLC, an independent mechanical engineering consulting firm based in Covington, Washington. I hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, where I graduated with a 3.89 GPA, and an A.S. in Pre-Engineering from Green River College with a 3.90 GPA.
Since founding Solvify in 2025, I have specialized in helping industrial clients in the oil & gas, nuclear, combustion, hydro, and manufacturing sectors tackle complex challenges through design calculations, failure analysis, reliability engineering, and risk-informed design. I bring a strong foundation in thermal-hydraulic and fluid system analysis, combined with practical experience in codes and standards such as ASME B&PV, B31.1, and B31.3.
Before starting my own firm, I gained valuable experience across research, operations, product development, and large-scale engineering projects. At TerraPower, I worked as a Fluid Systems Design Engineer on a first-of-a-kind sodium fast reactor, where I developed thermal-hydraulic models, supported nuclear licensing efforts, wrote technical reports, and mentored other engineers.
Earlier, as a Gas Products Engineer and Product Technical Lead at Algas-SDI, I led design projects for propane vaporizers, conducted FMEAs, developed capacity calculation tools still used by the sales team, and drove product improvements that enhanced reliability while meeting UL and ATEX requirements.
My background also includes hands-on power plant operations at the University of Washington’s steam plant and published research in knot theory. This combination of deep technical analysis, manufacturing and operations experience, and leadership allows me to deliver practical, high-impact solutions that improve safety, reliability, and performance for my clients.
I am deeply passionate about helping my clients succeed by delivering engineering solutions that are not only technically sound but also practical, reliable, and aligned with their real-world operational goals. My goal is always to leave clients with stronger systems, greater clarity, and the tools they need to perform effectively long after the project ends.
