Mechanical 7‑Segment Counter – Semester Project Designed and fabricated a mechanical 7‑segment counter as a semester project. Used gear trains and a ratchet‑and‑pawl mechanism to count up to 7 events or revolutions before resetting. Optimized gear ratios for smooth segment indexing. Modeled parts in CAD and assembled a working prototype.
Design and Thermal Analysis of a Hypersonic Precooler for a Jet Engine Designed a compact precooler to reduce incoming air temperature from 1000°C to 150°C at Mach 5. Used Inconel 718 for high-temperature resistance. Performed CFD analysis to optimize heat transfer and minimize pressure drop. Achieved heat transfer rate of 500+ kW/m² with compactness over 2000 m²/m³.
