Most scan-to-CAD freelancers are working with consumer-grade hardware and guessing at geometry. I'm not.
I'm a manufacturing engineer with cross-functional experience at a professional tool and manufacturing facility — spanning both contract CNC machining and tool and die / mold building operations. That background means I understand how parts are actually made — tolerances, material behavior, fixturing, and manufacturability — not just how they look on screen.
My scanning setup is a Revopoint Metro Y Pro blue laser scanner, one of the most accurate portable scanners on the market. I use it to capture complex geometry, clean and optimize mesh data, and build accurate, manufacturable CAD models in SolidWorks.
For 3D printing, I run a Creality K2 Plus capable of holding ±.003" tolerances in production. I work primarily in PLA-CF and PETG-CF for applications requiring stiffness and dimensional stability, with standard filaments available for prototyping and general use.
What I do:

Reverse engineering of existing parts with no drawings
Scan-to-CAD for worn, legacy, or one-off components
3D print-ready file preparation and optimization
Mesh cleanup and simplification for downstream use
FDM 3D printing in engineering-grade and standard filaments
