About
Mechanical Engineer with 25+ years of success across many fields, including medical equipment,
high-tension power line transmission design, low voltage DC microcontroller-based robotics, and
academia. I am an expert at product, machine, tool and system design. I architect products from
end-to-end to ensure regulatory compliance and user-centric solutions. My career spans a wide
variety of products, from industrial water heating equipment to complex Class III medical devices
to high volume desktop printers. That experience in the trenches, coupled with my recent three
years as a college Professor, I believe I possess the ability to interface with everyone from
executive stakeholders, legal teams, and end-users with equal fluency. Once I learn something, it
becomes a forever tool and helps me explain complex things in simple terms

Experience
- Adjunct Faculty Columbia Basin College · Full-time Sep 2023 – Jun 2026 2 yrs 9 mos Pasco, WA, United States Taught AutoCAD, Solidworks and Mechanical Design
Education
- University of Washington MS, Mechacnial Engineering, 3.4 1994 – 1995 Activities and Societies: All focus was on my biomechanics research. see below Design and fabrication of a titanium alloy sensor using strain gauges in a Wheatstone bridge mounted on 3 radial arms. The sensor fit between the amputee's stump and socket and measured the forces and moments during ambulation. We maximized the signal output and minimized cross-talk via mechanical design and strategic location for mounting the strain gauges.
