As the Product Development and Design Engineer at Simpli-Fi Automation, I lead the charge in designing, developing, and delivering cutting-edge hardware solutions. My role encompasses managing specialized teams in PCB design, firmware development, and UI/UX, while staying hands-on with key aspects like CAD design, manufacturing coordination, and technical documentation.
What I do:
Lead Hardware Teams: I oversee PCB, firmware, and UI/UX teams, ensuring all facets of hardware development are seamlessly integrated and aligned with project goals.
Design and Development: From concept to production-ready models, I create detailed CAD designs, renderings, and technical drawings.
Work with Manufacturers: I collaborate closely with manufacturers for PCB fabrication, injection molding, and component sourcing to ensure practicality, cost efficiency, and precision.
CFM and Aesthetics: I focus on selecting the perfect Color, Finish, and Material (CFM) for our products, ensuring a balance of functionality, quality, and design appeal.
Documentation: I develop comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documents to support smooth production processes.
Testing and Validation: I lead hardware testing and debugging efforts, guaranteeing reliable performance and high-quality outcomes.
Mentor and Guide: I provide guidance and feedback to my team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to excellence.
In this role, I’ve immersed myself in cutting-edge technologies, expanding my expertise in nano-sensor design, fabrication, and functionalization and learning wire bonding and ball bonding techniques. Working with ENEPIG surface treatments, I’ve gained deep insights into achieving precision and reliability in hardware designs. Additionally, I’ve honed my skills in injection molding parts design, hardware testing, and advanced manufacturing processes, enriching my ability to innovate and deliver high-quality solutions.
