Experience

  • Interface Designer Ditronetwork · Part-time Sep 2020 – Feb 2021 5 mos Antiniana, Campania, Italy I redesigned their cash register interface to incorporate modern interaction techniques, such as hold, swipe, and drag gestures. The new software enhances the user experience by making it more intuitive and efficient, enabling faster transactions and reducing the learning curve for new users.

Education

  • Manchester Metropolitan University Undergraduate, Product Design, First 2023 – 2026 (expected) Activities and Societies: Volleyball, Entrepreneur, Architecture During this degree, I significantly improved my hard skills, including 3D modelling, rendering, and UI/UX design. I also learned and applied advanced design methodologies such as the Double Diamond process, user personas, interviews, ethnographic research, and mind mapping.
I deepened my understanding of manufacturing methods, material properties, sustainability, circular design, and product reparability.
Throughout the program, I had the opportunity to work on real-world challenges, which enhanced both my design capabilities and my practical experience with meaningful, hands-on projects.
  • Licei Suor Orsola Benincasa maturità, Design, 100+ 2018 – 2023 During this period, I learned the fundamentals of sketching and became proficient in using Rhinoceros for 3D modelling. I explored the history and principles of Italian design, gaining a deeper appreciation for creating objects that go beyond functionality, objects that convey emotion through their form and detailing.
I also began exploring new software and ventured into various design fields, which gave me broad insight into how design operates across disciplines such as fashion, graphic design, branding, user interfaces, architecture, and more.

Other experience

  • Winner of the contest for a new Start Up Together with my colleagues, we collaborated to generate innovative ideas and strategic insights for the product the startup was developing. Through strong teamwork and a fresh, forward-thinking approach, we successfully secured first place in the competition.
  • Exchange Program OsloMet I spent an entire semester in Oslo collaborating with local students and professionals to develop innovative products. During this period, I deepened my understanding of Scandinavian design and its core principles. I had the opportunity to work closely with expert woodworkers, gaining hands-on experience with traditional and contemporary woodworking techniques. Beyond the academic setting, immersing myself in Norwegian culture and exploring the country’s natural beauty provided enriching experiences that continue to shape and inspire my design approach.
  • Workshop Storytelling A remarkable experience in France at the Domaine de Boisbuchet, in collaboration with the MIT Institute of Design, offered an inspiring journey into Indian design philosophy. During this time, we participated in a series of workshops led by designers from around the world, who highlighted the crucial role of storytelling in the design process.
