About
I am a seasoned draftsman with over 30 years of professional experience in CAD design, technical drawing, and 3D scanning. Currently, I serve as CAD Manager at WLC Engineering and Surveying, where I lead drafting operations across civil and survey disciplines.
As the founder of JSG, LLC, I also provide independent CAD consulting services, with a strong focus on Autodesk Fusion 360 for prototyping, reverse engineering, and manufacturing support.
I take pride in delivering precise, efficient, and production-ready designs. My approach blends classic drafting discipline with advanced digital tools—including FARO Focus and EinScan HX2 scanning, Grasshopper programming in Rhino, and parametric modeling in Fusion 360.
I work best with clients who value accuracy, reliability, and deep technical experience—especially those looking for a long-term, solutions-oriented design partner.

I provide independent CAD consulting and drafting services with a strong focus on Autodesk Fusion 360 for prototyping, reverse engineering, and mechanical design. I also use Rhino3D with Grasshopper for computational and generative modeling. My work includes developing fully parametric 3D models and technical drawings, converting physical parts and EinScan HX2 scan data into precise CAD assemblies, and supporting inventors, manufacturers, and engineering teams with high-detail design solutions.

I lead CAD production and drafting workflows across civil and survey projects using Autodesk Civil 3D. I integrate 3D scanning data from FARO Focus scanners and produce construction-ready documentation, platting, and site plans. I coordinate with engineers and surveyors to ensure technical accuracy, maintain CAD standards, train junior drafters, and manage drawing organization and quality control.

Design & Fabrication Projects (Independent)
In addition to my drafting and CAD expertise, I am an experienced fabricator, machinist, certified welder, and CNC operator. I have hands-on experience with machine setup, tooling, and precision part production, which gives me a grounded understanding of how digital designs translate into real-world parts. I frequently design and fabricate custom vehicle components, aviation-related parts, mechanical assemblies, and 3D-printable prototypes. I often work directly from physical parts, rough sketches, or scan data to develop accurate, production-ready CAD models. I also designed and built my own combined shop and residence, managing the entire process from CAD planning and permitting through fabrication and construction. This blend of digital and real-world skills allows me to deliver practical, technically sound solutions that are ready for fabrication and field use.
