I have 10 years experience in a sheet metal and machine shop engineering environment.
In those 10 years, I have honed my skills in Solidworks and cad creation from both a technical and manufacturing production perspective. Creating 3D models, drafting blue prints and deriving functional flat patterns for use in production are daily tasks. I also regularly consult customers with concerns or recommendations which would improve their design cost-wise during manufacturing.
I pride myself on my efficiency, creativity and attention to detail.
A project example which I view as an accomplishment: I redesigned a long time job to meet evolving customer quality expectations while reducing engineering and planning costs. Using Solidworks, I created 3d models for the complex job's assemblies using dozens of configurations which were easily editable for both revision changes and use in similar jobs. This change reduced planning, drawing, drafting, and programming time by over 75% and greatly reduced the chance of error.
