As a career machinist, I understand and appreciate the difficulty of the machining process. Though rendered physically incapable of standing at a machine, my years of experience can still be of benefit to you through the magic of the internet. My specialty is transferring old paper documents such as hand drafted drawings and napkin sketches into 3D models and clear, legible prints. I am most familiar with generating models that begin as a solid bar that is machined away to create the part. In that capacity, I am used to creating a single part model with progressive machining operations represented as individual configurations, any of which can be made into a print itself or to provide reference on a Layout Sheet. Understanding this is my primary use of the program, I would welcome all forms of modeling challenges.
