I am a current Design Engineer living in Arizona running my own LLC. I went to school for Mechanical Engineering and also have a 2 year degree in Machine Shop Technology. Background comes from both manual and CNC machining. My hobbies include working on motorcycles and cars in the garage to product design on my free time. I have helped people in startups, 3D printing, paper drawings to solid models, and everything in between.

I've done some freelance work in the aerospace and medical fields. Both projects involved extrapolating a design into either a 3D CAD model (using SolidWorks) and even using a combination of FreeCAD and Blender to create a model for applications in the dental field. I have done business on Craigslist and CGTrader.

I’m a CAD designer with over 19 years of hands-on experience specializing in protective packaging, particularly custom foam inserts made from polyurethane, polyethylene, and ether-based foams. I’ve designed packaging solutions for electronics, medical, automotive, and industrial products. My strength lies in translating real-world packaging challenges into clean, production-ready CAD layouts, dielines, nesting diagrams, and strip/glue layer schematics. I understand materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes — not just software. I’m seeking part-time and freelance opportunities where I can contribute remotely, especially for small to mid-sized firms that need dependable CAD help on weekends or evenings. Deliverables include: Foam insert layouts for CNC or die cutting Strip and glue layer breakdowns Nesting optimization for material savings Dieboard and dieline formatting for production Let’s work together to build packaging that protects and performs.

With 24 years of expertise in mechanical engineering and welding/fabrication, I deliver precision CAD designs, tool designs, and prototypes optimized for manufacturability. I’ve led composite tooling projects for defense applications, saving millions in costs through innovative designs and material sourcing. At a major agricultural equipment manufacturer, I designed fixtures and 3D-printed tooling, enhancing production efficiency. My 14 years as a welder/fabricator, including TIG welding for aviation standards, ensure practical, production-ready designs. Proficient in SolidWorks, Creo, and FEA, I offer non-regulated consulting for startups, manufacturers, and inventors. As a non-licensed engineer, I focus on high-quality, cost-effective solutions for your next project. Let’s bring your vision to life!
