I am a mechanical engineer currently working in a manufacturing company where I work as an Estimate CAD/CAM Engineer where I design flat data of products where I disassemble parts of the products according to its dimensions and how the product is formed. Conforming to the Japanese standards of manufacturing, I draft designs in 2d where marks are made where the product is to be processed whether it is bending, welding, tap, or burring. I do checks utilizing the dimensions of the machine to do the process like bend checks where a 2D of the machine is made to check if the product can be bended without any problems, and henkei checks where warpage of the product due to hole or slot hole made near the bending line is checked. The highest difficulty that I draw is when I am given a product where there are few dimensions where thickness and just the material is given.

I only started engaging in this kind of Industry this year. I was actually a Marketing Graduate and working in an engineering firm as a Sales. Our company caters software for Cad/Cam/Mold. Thru my job, I found out that I have a potential on this kind of field. I did a research, self-study and educate myself to be more knowledgeable.
