Mechanical Engineering Student | CAD & CAM Specialist | SolidWorks CSWA Certified I am a fifth-year Mechanical Engineering student at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology with hands-on experience in CAD, CAM, and manufacturing processes. I am CSWA-certified in CAD, Additive Manufacturing, Electrical, and Simulation by Dassault Systèmes. My expertise includes SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Intelitek, and Mastercam. I have worked on projects such as a fully automated pinball machine, a liquid metal-based wearable system, and a CNC fixture for gear pump machining. After graduating from the university in 2021, I was lucky to get a job without searching for too long. I thought this would be a great start in my career development journey. But soon, the repetitive 9-5 program became boring and I sought another option for making a living. It was at that point that I went into freelancing. This gave me an opportunity to maximize my potential and employ the knowledge I had learnt from school. Today, I do CAD related online writing jobs as my main source of income. I find online freelancing far better than spending too much time seated at a desk, in some office in the middle of nowhere, struggling through the day. Online freelancing has given me a purpose in this life and for that reason, I always prioritize my clients' needs and the quality of the job I do. I have been using SolidWorks for over 3 years. I have vast knowledge and experience in preparing 3D drawings, 2D drawings, shop drawings, 3D rendering, 3D animation and Simulation among other CAD related work.
