Design Engineer (Mechanical) I am responsible for following task in my current job: 1. Design and modification of new and existing products. 2. 3D Modelling and Drafting of components (on unigraphics NX 12) 3. Prepare bill of material (BOM). 4. Indent preparation as per customer requirement / specification (with help of AutoCAD in 2D format). 5. Oversee mechanical design phases from concept through production. 6. Solve various problems come during production and assembly of components, solve problem during manufacturing. 7. Vendor visit, guidance, quality check and help in deviation of product with QA department. 8. Travel to project sites when necessary to take physical measurements required to complete requested design (Reverse engineering) 9. Conduct in-house test such as, (Mechanical Endurance Test, Temperature Rise Test) and prepare report of test 10. Collaborate with senior mechanical designers on large scale design projects.
