My skills include, bespoke engineering, mechatronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, automation systems, rapid prototyping, guarding, jigs, fixtures, and tooling. Well-developed skills in communication, problem solving and creative thinking. • Used to team work but have the ability to work without supervision. • Extensive product development experience from concept, manufacture through to market. • Experience designing mass process machinery for all sectors of industry including Automotive, Aerospace, Nuclear, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Mining and Medical. • Jig and fixture design, mould design (injection, compression and thermoforming), sheetmetal development and fabrication design. • Pneumatics – Circuit design, component specification and supplier recommendations. • Conversant in ISO9000, BSI 8888, FMEA,DFMEA, DMAIC, APQP, PPS GAMP, Hazard and Risk assessment, PD5500 and PED requirements. • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Sage, SAP and Baan. • FEA experience and Flow Simulation (Solidworks Simulation) • Design for Manufacture (DFM) methods. • Extensive CAD experience AutoCAD (14 years), Pro-Engineer/Creo (9 years), SolidWorks (18 years), Solid Edge (6 years), Siemens NX (2 years), Inventor and CATIA V5.
