Hi, I'm a Design Engineer based in the UK, highly trained & experienced in mechanical & electrical systems. My degree was in BSc Hons Design Engineering- I studied for three years achieving 2:1. I am currently working in the audio field; designing products such as HiFi amplifiers & speakers. Most of my studies were based in the mechanical design of automotive systems & parts verified with technical reports. I have used CAD for 8 years, 6 years professionally. - 2 years experience as a CAD & project design engineer for an leading audio equipment manufacturer - 3 years experience as a design engineer for an MRI manufacturer - 1 year experience as a draughtsman for 2D site plans. I have a diverse skillset in a range of CAD programs; using Inventor, AutoCAD, Solidworks & SolidEdge to conduct and produce highly accurate assembly designs & drawings. I like to be thorough, yet concise in my drawings to achieve accurate & cost effective manufacturing results. I am a designer and engineer that has worked on a very wide variety of projects over the years. Solidworks is my 3D modelling program of choice. My background is that I grew up in Birmingham, studied and worked in Bristol and currently live in London. I have a Masters in Mechanical Engineering, and worked a total of six years at Airbus (formerly British Aerospace). I ended up as a Structural Design Engineer, working with CAD, focussing on wing design for research and new projects. I left Airbus to pursue further studies and completed the Innovation Design Engineering course, a combined MA/MSc co-run by the Royal College of Art and Imperial College in the summer of 2011. I have been freelancing since then on a wide variety of tasks, running the gamut from creative to technical for such clients as Epson, Intel, Loowatt, the Royal College Of Art, Seeper, Spark Create, Studio XO and WPP. I have helped make fashion garments with integrated technology for major pop stars, exhibition designs on the future of retail and even a waterless toilet for use in developing countries. I am always on the lookout for new, interesting adventures and challenges, and work on many projects in my spare time to increase my learning.

Expertise in a wide variety or 3D modelling, sketching, concept design (both 3D and 2D) prototyping, electronics design and design for manufacture.
