I have worked as an Electrical Draftsperson with experience in excess of 10 years. In this time I have specialised in the design of Electrical Equipment and Switchboards for use in Mining applications as well as the Marine Oil & Gas industries. I am familiar with Power, Motor Control, PLC's & Instrumentation systems as well as 3D modelling of sheet metal enclosures. In addition to my design experience, I have endeavoured to improve my knowledge of electrical systems by partaking in an adult apprenticeship as an Electro-technology Electrician. This has helped to improve my understanding of protection systems, cable size selection for voltage drop & current carrying capacity as well as direct experience in manufacturing and equipment assembly to incorporate better design into the end product.

Throughout my professional experiences I have developed strong expertise in 3D modelling (drafting), rapid prototyping (3D printing) and tooling / building new designs. My specialty lies with my talents of research, communication, and imagination - providing the ability to derive a realistic design from a given idea. I have extensive experience in drafting 3D models from spoken ideas in the office environment, which are then used in communication and negotiation strategies with stakeholders. I have often rendered 3D models to photorealistic quality (Blender and Fusion 360 software) and been able to utilise my visual design expertise to further modify the resulting 2D images (Photoshop and GIMP). These skills have been used in manufacture, simulation, selling, and simple ideation.
