Born and raised in Houston, Texas. I completed high school in Conroe, Texas (Conroe High School) and was accepted to attend studies at Texas A & M University. Due to a life changing event I was unable to complete my studies there and returned home to be employed by the local electric utility company, Gulf States Utilities. Hired as a line helper in 1979, I worked in construction and maintenance of the electrical utility facilities working my way up thru the ranks from helper to apprentice lineman then to lineman 4th class then to lineman 3rd class. Once I had achieved 3rd class I was able to transition to the service department where I was trusted to work on a truck by myself unsupervised working customer service tickets and troubleshooting outages that occurred on the lines. In 1991 Gulf States Utilities was purchased by Entergy and around this time I transitioned back into the line crew in the Woodlands Network to continue construction and maintenance work on most underground but occasionally overhead lines as well. April of 1999 I transferred to the Design West group of Entergy Texas, Inc. as an Engineer Assistant and a short time later, I earned the title of Senior Engineer Assistant. I presently continue to hold that title. My present job description entails meeting with customers to determine their electrical needs, design Entergy's facilities to serve these customers, procure easements for Entergy's facilities, draft contracts and collect contributions and assemble construction job packets to hand off to our line crews to build. During the last 18 years of my employment, I have used MS Office Suite's Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Access and I have used Auto CAD on a daily basis and in the past 4 years I have used GIS, Pole Foreman and other software.

I am a second year mechanical engineering student, I'm highly driven and passionate about engineering and design. My personal hobbies include amateur rocketry, homebrewing beer and wine, fishing and astronomy. Nearly all my hobbies include my engineering passion to some degree, I love to build my own equipment from scratch, my own rockets from scratch, my own fishing lures and tackle, and telescope mounts. I currently work for a firm that designs, builds and certifies industrial lifting equipment. I've been involved in all aspects of the design process, from analyzing the factory/warehouse/site layout, determining adequacy of existing structures, creating weldments from structural steel to serve as load bearing members for cranes/ hoists, to finally the design of the under-the-hook lifting device (often using pneumatics or mechanical actuators). In my personal life, I've designed my home brewery, including a converted chest freezer into keg refrigerator/beer dispenser, and a climate controlled mini-fermentation room with multiple chambers for different fermentation temperatures. I'm also currently working on a amateur rocket with the goal of reaching Mach 1, which has seen me utilizing a lot of 3D printing custom components suited to transonic speeds from different plastics. My software proficiencies include: - 3DS Solidworks - Autodesk Inventor, 360 Fusion, and AutoCAD - Microsoft Visual Basic - Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, Word and Access)

I am a Civil Engineer, working in the construction and mechanical industry since 1998. I have worked on different projects and companies, from Residential and commercial building to complex infrastructure projects. In Pakistan I have worked mostly on residential building and villas, when Pakistan’s first Motorway project was launched I became a part of pioneering team. I worked there on M2 Lahore to Islamabad motorway project and was in-charge of Culverts and small underpasses which ran under the motorway to facilitate the locals, villagers and animals of the area to cross under the road. In 2007 I moved to United Arab Emirates, here I mostly worked on infrastructure projects based in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. My focus was utilities, like potable water, sewerage and sanitary water, storm water drainage and irrigation most of the time. But I also worked on electrical networks and fiber optic cables for telecoms and traffic. With the experience spanning more than 2 decades I have decided to now shift my attention to freelancing world. As the world is changing repeatedly so is the way to work. Freelancing is the most comfortable way to express my abilities and find new technologies and meet new people which I truly enjoy.
