First year as sole engineer in R&D. Built and trained the engineering team from scratch over seven years. Multiplied technical knowledge in GD&T, gauge design, and dimensional management without external help. Shared knowledge openly across all departments.
Key achievements:
• 80,000 PPM to zero – Led dimensional investigation on a critical subsystem, identified 4 tooling root causes and 1 process control gap. Implemented corrective actions with supplier — defect rate dropped to zero and has remained zero for over 4 years.
• 3D printed control gauges – Pioneered FDM 3D printing for functional gauges. Reduced manufacturing lead time from 1 month to 2 days (93% reduction) and cost to 1/8th of conventional (87.5% saving). Method adopted as standard for all new pipe programs.
• Supplier fixture fix – Solved chronic housing machining deviation by on site fixture inspection. Discovered surface locators referencing cast flash; replaced with point locators. Tested with two parts of vastly different flash conditions — problem permanently resolved with zero recurrence.
• CATIA automation – Wrote Visual Basic macro that auto labels drawing dimensions by position in the drawing. Eliminated manual labelling errors, reduced drafting time by approximately 50%, and made dimension reference easy across documents.
• Assembly fixture redesign – Replaced failing pneumatic fixture with custom magnetic solution (self taught from zero magnetic design experience). Improved alignment precision and reliability, eliminating production bottlenecks on the assembly line. -

I started my career at the Automotive Research Institute in steering and suspension components procurement engineering. I was responsible for first article inspection based on technical documents such as drawings and control plans. I implemented part quality control processes, created inspection and acceptance checklists, and approved first production samples.
Later, I became familiar with BOM (Bill of Materials) structures. Thanks to my strength in database data analysis, I developed an innovative method for storing BOMs of several similar products (with common parts) and implemented it in the engineering department.
I then started learning CATIA software and completed a 150 hour training course. Due to the high volume of modeling and drafting work, I became fully proficient in Part Design, Assembly Design, Drafting, Shape Design, and Sheet Metal Design.
Key contributions:
• Designed complex sheet metal prototype bodies using creative fixturing methods (brake forming, welding)
• Designed an innovative assembly fixture using magnetic solutions — improved reliability and alignment
• Taught CATIA at Iran's Mould Makers Society Training Centre
