Discussion
To be fair the SkyCloud Vaporizer is a brand new vaporizer and it took about 1,000+ man hours to complete. So a $360 project prize seems hardly worth it for this.

Hi there, I have a couple of questions.
I this vaporiser tabletop or a handheld portable?
Conduction or convection?
What is the power source?
Thanks.

Hello, could you upload some dimensions, more detailed description and possibly some sketches for those of us not familiar with ecigs. Thanks

Notify: Multi-Purpose Sensor Design
Notify is an intelligent multi-purpose sensor that determines occupancy and activity in an environment. Notify's target audience is home owners so the device must be both functional and elegant. Notify uses deep learning on data streams from over 12 different sensors in order to determine occupancy and classify activities in a given environment. The aim of this contest is to develop a robust enclosure design for Notify that satisfies the requirements listed below. Pictures of the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) are attached below and include both front and back views with annotations indicating each sensors location. The PCB is 60 mm long and 50 mm wide, so the design should accommodate that size.

Bottle Boxer
We currently box 6 little bottles by hand and would like to automate the procedure. We box 3000 gift pack a day.
Our current procedure is: We lay down 300 open boxes on a table and put each bottle one at the time inside the box. We would like to automate this process.
Currently, the bottles are just put in bins and we grab them by hand. Or we can have them nicely standing up in a custom made bins that are open at the front.
Robot "Desk Defender" that Fires Foam Missiles
I need help designing a stationary desktop robot that fires foam missiles and I'm looking for an interesting concept design.
This robot would sit on someone's desk, connected to a computer, and would have the ability to fire foam missiles, motion track, and talk. It would:
* Plug into a computer with USB
* Be a stationary robot with no legs, it would sit on some sort of platform and needs to stay balance as it rotates
* Have a motion sensor
* Have a small built-in camera
* Have LED eyes and maybe mouth
* Have an internal speaker for talking and making sounds
* Rotate left and right on its platform
* Have foam missiles either on its arms or on a separate missile launching arm. The arm they are firing from should be able to rotate up and down for targeting.
It should be between 13 and 17 cm tall and at least 10 cm across (roughly).
Garbage Disposal
Need to design under the sink garbage disposal unit. There are lot of garbage disposals made with a purpose of kitchen waste disposal. The envelope size will be around 6 inches in diameter and about 8-10 inches long. The unit will utilize 1/3 or 1/2 HP motor.
Locking Mechanism Design for Consumer Product
We are looking for a locking mechanism for our upcoming product that is simple and minimalistic, yet very robust in how it locks the two pieces together. When locked there will be lateral stresses forcing the pieces to slide apart. We want there to be virtually no chance of the pieces coming apart by accident while locked, and the mechanism must be simple and intuitive.
Items that must reamin the same are the length and width of the objects. Enjoy full freedom to change the trapizod shape.
Please refer to attached images for some of our previous ideas. These are simplistic, but they are either not aestheticly pleasing or they do not provide a reliable lock while the product is in use.
We have uploaded 4 different file types because we wern't sure what your preference would be. Please also take a look at the attached images to see the other mecanisms that we have designed thus far. These are the ones that we like for simplicity and minimalism sake but they are not the most effective or intuitive.
