Description:
Hello:My name is Jeff and I am producing lighter cases/sleeves. I would like to know if you can produce a 3D vector form from picture images (jpegs). I need the image in STL format for prototype.
The image (2 Sides) needs to be in RAISED RELIEF/SCULPTED so its dimensions can be felt by the user. Each side is somewhat small so the scupt does not need excessive detail.
I can send patent pend. pics for possible approval.
Thank you
Jeff

Hello everyone
I am grateful for several submissions, many look very close to what I am looking for.
But please be aware I need the winner of final design in STL.
Thanks again, I am very grateful

Hi Guys,
I just added a new attachment.
There needs to be two images (the lady and the lettering)
Thank you

I have the sleeve/case measurements, I just need the Lady image placed on the sleeve so you can feel the contours of her body. I want the user/owner of the case to "feel" the shape of the lady figure including her hair and body. Also, I have the name (raised letters) of the lady that also needs to be placed/created in RAISED RELIEF/SCULPTED on the OPPOSITE side of the lighter.
The lighter case/sleeve measurements are as follows
Length 3 inches
Width 1 inch
Thickness 1/2 inch

Do you by chance have a back side that we can make an actual sleeve or do you want a onesided sleeve with a wrap around grip or some type of a clamp like structure?
Please check attached 3D pdf and comment if this is 3D model type you would like to produce - what is the height of the trace - I used 0.5 mm (also for the thickness I used 0.5 mm). Do you need to have trace attached on solid (filled) base (like on the first test design I submitted) or this stand alone trace ("transparent") is enough?
@Amir Perle
I need the picture sculpted/raised relief onto
the lighter case/sleeve. I am manufacturing the
case/sleeve to fit a standard Bic lighter.
Those dimensions are as follows
3 and 1/4 inches in length
1 inch in width
1/2 inch in thickness width

Yes a 3D contour trace is necessary
Nothing dug into material

The 3D Production is just a CAD software. I just need the image
Rendered in RAISED RElIEF/SCULPTURED in STL format.
Attach email and I can send more detailed measurement

Please use this line trace / basic 3D model I attached to give us some more details about how part should look like (do you want to "dig in to" the material or you want to have like 3D contour trace etc.)...
Hello,
I believe you have to give us the dimensions of the lighter, in order to get an stl for production, or else you'll just get a concept design. (there are a lot of different lighters in the market)
Thanks,
Stefanos

Hi,
just a few questions: do you need us to model just a girl or do you need lighter case also? Can you give us approximate dimensions (width and length)? I presume relief must follow curvature of the lighter or?

Hi Jeff,
Is 3D production a type of CAD software? Or do you mean any CAD software that will work for production. If that's the case, I strongly recommend AutoCAD/SolidWorks as most manufacturers can go into production with those.
Thanks,
MacKenzie

Interchangeable Battery Adapter Holster Pack - Industrial CAD Designer
Hello,
I need someone to help me make a interchangeable battery clip adapter where these Ryobi batteries (found from Home depot) clip into each other as seen in picture
It must be able to maintain enough room and functionality where the electrical terminals make proper contact.
The batteries in the picture are laid out exactly how I want it to clip into each other. Just fill in the space between the battery with the housing that I need for you to design. I also need an access port about 7mm in diameter.
The designer must already have access to these batteries which are common from home depot.
Contain-A-Shelf
to design a container shelving system.
Sheet metal fabrication design
We are a start-up design company based in Mullingar and supported by Enterprise Ireland as a HPSU.
We require an experienced solidworks engineer to complete various sheet metal components in flat sheet
and folded.
Initially we would require in the region of 20/30 hours service which may be extended.
Small waterproof weather sensor housing
The project is to develop a small waterproof weather monitoring button which will include a UV, humidity and temperature sensors. The button will be pairing with a mobile phone for transmitting data. This button could be used both at the beach to monitor UV exposure but also in house for room climate monitoring,
We need a small electronic and sensor enclosure with the following specs:
1) Button or other (rectangular/cube/etc) similar shape
2) Small dimensions to host a 15mm x 25mm x 3mm PCB
3) Include a coin battery with an option of easy access for replacement
4) The enclosure/product should have a small protected whole for a humidity/temperature sensor (not more than 2mm diameter)
5) Include a UV sensor so access to light is needed
6) Include a Power switch/button
7) Include a led for indicating operation
8) Include a robust belt clip (or other removable clip, or/plus a magnet) built into the design
9) Waterproof design
10) A trendy design aesthetically pleasing as possible
11) we need the source solidworks files for printing on our 3D printing
We intent to further work with the winning designer so as to fine-tune the design after initial testings
New product line for site furnishings manufacturer
We have recently purchased an older site furnishing manufacturer and would like to introduce a new and more modern product line.
http://street.woodcraftdesignltd.com/
Please feel free to visit the current website to see our existing products.
We primarily want a
Park Bench
Waste and recycling receptacle
A lighted bollard
Later on adding a Poster Pillar and a Bike rack
Our chosen new line will be put into production and therefore will need to be Modern, lightweight but durable,as maintenance free as possible and not too complicated to manufacture and assemble.
In our existing product we use the following materials
Steel and Aluminum for structure
Cedar, Ipe and Oak for seating
Our most popular bench size is 1800mm
We would like to incorporate composite materials for a seating option (bearing in mind we have had issues with composite sagging in heat
We would like to compete with companies such as Maglin and Wishbone
Our existing products do not have any CAD drawings included and this makes it more difficult for us to be specified in by landscape architects. We are not sure exactly what they require and any guidance in that would be appreciated.
