Description:
Hello,

I need someone to help me make a interchangeable battery clip adapter where these Ryobi batteries (found from Home depot) clip into each other as seen in picture
It must be able to maintain enough room and functionality where the electrical terminals make proper contact.

The batteries in the picture are laid out exactly how I want it to clip into each other. Just fill in the space between the battery with the housing that I need for you to design. I also need an access port about 7mm in diameter.

The designer must already have access to these batteries which are common from home depot.
Wants:
-consideration will be giving to fit and finish
-how well the battery clips into the adapter
-the placement of a access port about 7mm in diameter
-the ability for me to wire up the terminals inside before final assembly
-the ability for me to install the electrical contact terminals
Ask for Sample:
Sample would be nice
Software:
  1. commonly used application that I can take to 3D print (shapeways.com) and even full production molding.

I'm from Romania.I don't have home depot...if you can, draw the dimensions yourself on a paper and post it...a simple draw, and then in 24 hours i'l send you a final version on scale....

Hi,
Your picture is exactly what I want, but I would have no clue as to how to provide you the dimensions. That's why i mention the battery from home depot as they are sold in every store and I was hoping anyone who has their tools would have it in their garage.

No i don't get the dimensions...i take the proportions from a picture whith ryobi battery, this is why is look like the original...on the internet i didn't find any dimensions...this is why i asked you about them...

HI Sergiu,

Did you get the final dimensions? Is the cad drawing accurate and I can take it to the 3D print and use right away?

Thanks,
Mike

The Brand is Ryobi. They typically are Li-ion now, but they are the same as the one in the picture I attached.

Dear Mr.Mike Lee,
I will check exactly dimensions of the common batteries from Home Depot, after that I will recommend you about the
interchangeable battery clip adapter. What kind of batteries do you usually use? ( brand, dimension?
Kind regards,

I would think there are existing electrical terminals out there though.

I do not have existing electrical terminals, I didn't know if that was within the abilities of people in this project, but YES! if you can help with that, it'll be added bonus!

Do you have existing electrical terminals that you will be re-using, or should something new designed?

It will be stand alone and portable. it does not interface anything else except for the 7mm hole. I will use that as a access port. The hole can be anywhere logical. so in this case out the side where it will not normally rest, since you'll be able to turn upsidedown, etc.

Quick Access Sun Stations
Quick Access Sun Stations is a self service sunscreen station placed throughout outdoor venues such as theme parks, water parks, state parks, zoo's, golf courses, ski resorts, etc. The Quick Access Sun Stations provides sunscreen through a hand held device (think of a spray tanning gun) which the customer will direct and spray on themselves, in the areas where they need skin/sun protection. The station will be a 4' square footprint with hand held devices placed equal distances around the station. There should be enough space for 4 customers at a time, allowing application of sunscreen to the skin that is exposed. The machine is equipped with a method to accept credit card or mobile payments (via a mobile scan or entry of a confirmation code). The station needs to allow the customer to select the level of sunscreen protection they want (there will be 2 protection levels). Sunscreen will be stored in 2 different reservoirs which is contained internal to the unit. I am looking for a product design encompassing the features I outlined above. I would like to see a prototype of the machine mock-up, both the external (what the customer will see) and internal (what the sunscreen servicer will see). In the mock-up a small divider between stations (to prevent overspray) and a matt under the entire unit to prevent slipping should be visible. The stations will require power, access either under the machine or some place that doesn't limit the space for the number of hand held devices. A self powered station would be ideal but not sure it is entirely feasible.
Sheet metal fabrication design
We are a start-up design company based in Mullingar and supported by Enterprise Ireland as a HPSU. We require an experienced solidworks engineer to complete various sheet metal components in flat sheet and folded. Initially we would require in the region of 20/30 hours service which may be extended.
Baby wipes case
A travel baby wipes case with two snap clip mechanisms. One to open the case to reload the wipes and another on top to access the wipes. The design should be as flat, sleek and as close to dimensions as possible. Various prints will be added so design should consider how a print may be interrupted or warped. A small loop needs to be added where desired for a lanyard to attach the case to bags strollers etc. Dimensions should be as close to W:120mm H:21mm D:30mm. The design should not infringe on internal compartment for wipes so the case can be closed easily. Potential for future projects for winner.
Pet Wearable
We are seeking designs for a pet wearable band. Which will encase an oval shaped device that will go on a pet collar. At this time we are seeking some creative designs but not the actual 3D printed versions. We have attached a few photos of what we are seeking; including a version that would be a bow for a female and bone for a male. We are open to other concepts and ideas. The oval in the middle of the designs will house the wearable.
New product line for site furnishings manufacturer
We have recently purchased an older site furnishing manufacturer and would like to introduce a new and more modern product line. http://street.woodcraftdesignltd.com/ Please feel free to visit the current website to see our existing products. We primarily want a Park Bench Waste and recycling receptacle A lighted bollard Later on adding a Poster Pillar and a Bike rack Our chosen new line will be put into production and therefore will need to be Modern, lightweight but durable,as maintenance free as possible and not too complicated to manufacture and assemble. In our existing product we use the following materials Steel and Aluminum for structure Cedar, Ipe and Oak for seating Our most popular bench size is 1800mm We would like to incorporate composite materials for a seating option (bearing in mind we have had issues with composite sagging in heat We would like to compete with companies such as Maglin and Wishbone Our existing products do not have any CAD drawings included and this makes it more difficult for us to be specified in by landscape architects. We are not sure exactly what they require and any guidance in that would be appreciated.
