Description:
We are looking for a industrial design (outlook) of a hand pulse detector. This device will consist of the following.1) Two metal plates on the device that will come in contact with hand when grip on it. This will form a closed circuit between the plates and thereby detect the electrical pulse from the hand (refer to attached for the existing device). Ideally the area of each contact surface of the metal plate should be more than 2000 square mm.
2) A micro USB port for charging the battery.
3) Power Indicator
4) ON/OFF switch.
Internal design of the device is not necessary but must cater enough room to house the below
1) 1500 square mm X 1mm (thickness) PCB
2) 750 square mm X 4mm(thickness) battery.
The design shall be in 3D CAD.
Wants:
- Think out of the box, and open to any type of style. No need to follow the existing design (see attached)- Ergonomics, easy of hold and cater to all sizes of hand.
- Aesthetics pleasing in term of form & color, and originality are to be valued. Visual design is important here. IT MUST BE COOL !! - we want to evoke a visceral reaction to the device
Don't Wants:
- No sharp or clunky edges.- Non-manufacturable designs and complex designs
- Cheap plastic look & feel
Software:
- Any 3D CAD
Additional Information
There will not be a cable connecting to the device, only the USB port for charging. The size of the device need to be portable.Please note that we are looking for something that think out of the box, and open to any type of style. No need to follow the existing design. It can be like a shape of pebbles stone or something ergonomically friendly that can grab around. Important thing is it must look cool - we want to evoke a visceral reaction to the device.
It would be good to have an illustration to show that the size of PCB and Battery can fit into the device.

I agree with Adriano 135 entries surely one of them is good enough to be selected. Cadcrowd should be charging money for an extended contest..after all, time is money.
I do not think it's right to postpone the challenge again.
Everyone here has put a lot of effort into their designs, based on a predetermined deadline.
If a desired product did not appear yet, you should give better feedback as to what you are really looking forward to seeing.

Hi Adam,
The thickness of battery and PCB is petty much fixed as stated. The area is given as a guide for you to cater enough room for the component, so it can be any size as long as it is within the area (sq. mm) specified.

Would it be possible to get the width, height, and depth of the battery and the width and height of the PCB, or can it be any size as long as it is within the sq. mm's specified ?


Ergonomics is a concern when griping due to the profile. Aesthetics need to improve.

Leaside Project
I am building a new home and require innovative interior architectural design options ( kitchen, family room, living room and powder room) that will accommodate an exterior elevation that is already defined. One of the most important aspects to this assignment is the location of the interior foyer relative to the location of stairs that go up to the 2nd floor and down to the basement. The desired design of the foyer is to be defined in terms of its presence but not in a manner that it takes away from the interior space in a significant manner. Once a 1st floor layout is approved, the need to prepare a modern and eye catching interior design (with furniture, crown holding, tray ceilings, wainscotting, etc. ) with photo like renderings will be required. I have attached the exterior elevation (which is reversed to the actual location of the garage) but it provides a sense of the foyer location. I have also provided a PDF of the ground floor footprint that we have to work with. The dimensions of the foot print is fixed. This ground floor plan design is not the optimal in terms of the foyer so we are looking for innovative designs that will fit within the plan dimensions and our needs..

We are seeking a CAP and bottle design for an AIR FRESHENER product for females. We are seeking a cute unique bottle design in which we can use to make our own custom mold. Attached is additional information of the direction.
Unicycle
Hi all, thanks for checking out my contest! I am involved with a company that is looking to receive some entries for a "prototype" electric unicycle. If you aren't familiar let me give you a brief background. Remember the hoverboards last xmas?? The electric unicycle works on essentially the same principle (upside down pendulum theory) to achieve self balancing capability. The current offerings on the market just don't cut it, the plastics are basically thrown together around the requirements of a build, rather than incorporating the necessary components into the design for a smooth finish. I would like the final product to be somewhat futuristic/prototypish looking, maybe a bit sporty. You can get a feeling for whats out there by doing a google search for "electric unicycle". Integral to the design there are 3 requirements. 1.) Obviously the plastic fairing will need to have a cavity for the wheel, but in addition, it will need to subtly include a space for lipo batteries, (doesnt have to be in any particular shape however), and also must include spot for a pcb control board. Both of these items arent excessively large, the PCB is about 4X3 inches and the batteries are about 5X5X1 (but can be reconfigured). 2.) I would also like to incorporate into my design a headlight, and a tail light if possible, but most concerned with head light. Would also like to leave the option open to include small bluetooth speakers, however these would not take very much space at all. 3.) Finally, this design will need to have a retractable handle for balance when getting on/off.
Smart City Sensor Wall Mount - IoT
We are building a "smart city" type sensor that will be located underground. It will have a wired connection to a Cellular Communicator that uses cellular networks to send the sensor data to cloud server. City employees will mount the Cellular Communicator to walls around the city so that it gets a strong signal. It could be mounted to the wall of a commercial or residential building, in urban or rural environments.
Pictures of the Cellular Communicator are attached.
We need a design for a plastic Wall Mount Bracket that will be used to attach the Cellular Communicator to the wall. We don't want it to stand out, instead we want most people not to notice it, and homeowners to not be bothered by it being mounted on their side or back wall! It should be easy to manufacture by injection mold, and simple to install.
Please provide image files and any neutral CAD file format showing your Wall Bracket design. Images should show how the Communicator fits into the Bracket, and how the Bracket fits against a wall.
Racing drone (quadcopter) from notes to CAD and 3D model
Your task is to draft a mini racing drone from my design specifications.
The drone itself will consist of two pieces of moulded carbon fibre:
- bottom hull
- hood
Key features of the drone:
- two piece construction with interlocking lip
- tube arms (16mm outer diameter, 12mm inner diameter)
- fit 6" diameter propeller (152.4mm)
- 16x19mm standard motor mounting
- fit standard HS1177 camera with adjustable camera angle from 0° - 70° of tilt
- fit standard flight controller circuit board (30.5mm square mounting holes on the bottom)
- 4mm thick at motor mount
- 3-4mm thickness of hull
