Hello,
I've attached some renderings of my idea. Entire item is made of acrylic. There are 5 faces of acrylic plates joined together using acrylic tubes like you'll see in the pictures. The item is tight up by the bars configuration. This configuration is strong, will keep the water inside sealed, it's easy to assemble and disassemble.
Waiting for a feedback and improvements requirements.
Thank you and looking forward,

#45 All acrylic made rugged plastic cage with locking
by shantanu
Assembly is very easy, in pic. 1 is illustrated locking mechanism on all four sides having trapezoidal cross- section of lock (only 26mm lt). as in pic 6. bottom is red, side panels (yellow) slide horizontally on bottom plate both in opposite direction. similarly other two green panels slide in vertical direction on yellow panels' side from bottom to top (provided there with slot). As sliding mechanism is shown in pic. 4 & 5. also bottom plate's slot way is shown. As the sliding slot are in circular cross- section and stoppers are provided ingeniously from being overrun of panels during sliding as well for holding making it rugged cage, sharp edges are eliminated and easy to dismantle

Dear Jay Singh,
Please find forwarded my preliminary design, mainly to convey you the concept, based on the following major criteria:
1. Very easy Assembling & Disassembling – I have used Zipper for 4 corners to close the 4 sides very easily for making the box and as well as flat the same. Zippers will be fully Transparent & Self-Locking Nylon Zipper (easily available in the market). Two sides of the zipper are to be pasted on the outer surfaces of two adjacent sheets and the last end of the zipper is to be pasted on the bottom of the bottom sheet, with the help of a colour-less strong glue.
2. Easily pack to a Flat Box (like a pizza box) – I have used very flexible Nylon Strip to join the side sheets with the bottom sheet. So that, we can easily fold-down the 4 side sheets on the bottom sheet and then can easily insert the whole things into a flat box. The Nylon Strips will be fully Transparent and very Flexible (easily available in the same shop of Acrylic sheet). The nylon strips are to be pasted on the bottom surface of the bottom sheet and the outer surface of its adjacent sheet, with the help of a colour-less strong glue.
3. Very good transparency – I have used all fully transparent materials, no metals.
4. Sturdy in assembling condition – The bottom is already attached with its 4 side sheets with the help of strong & long durable nylon strips. So, when the 4 zippers of 4 corners will close & lock, then the whole things will be fully rigid & strong enough.
5. Very low manufacturing cost – I have used all simple plastic-group materials, no metals or complicated shapes materials. Moreover, there are no machines / special tools are required to make it; anybody can make it by hand with the help of a few very basic tools and by maintaining a reasonable precisions.
Kindly let me know your opinion on this design as early as possible.
After getting the same I will do the rest accordingly.
With regards,
Rupak Bhattacharya

My 2nd version of acrylic box.
To use steel thread insert i think we need at least 8 mm thickness acrylic ( or even 10 mm). Bu there is no need to use 8mm thickness to all box side. So i think it just enough to glue on side 45x30x8mm small sheets. Then we can put in insert threads in it. See attached images.
12 pcs. Type 316 Stainless Steel Flat-Head Socket Cap Screw
M2.5 Size, 10 mm Length, .45 mm Pitch

12 pcs.
18-8 Stainless Steel Standard Helical Insert
M2.5-.45 Internal Thread, 5.0mm Length

#18 Smart (Puzzle Like) Aclyric Box
by Mohamad Nasser
Hi Jay...
I have designed you a bit simple, smart Acrylic Box...
I have made it on the 50x50x50 basis, Dimensions may be edited...
The Coolest thing about this that I have designed it to be:
1 Light weight
2 Cost Effective
3 Easy to assemble
The assembly doesn't need any thing except the 5 sheets and 2 simple acrylic square cross-section rods, Its all about Grooves and notches...
The assembly is fully defined, feel free to delete the mates and view the locking mechanism and the parts...
For Grooves, interior dimensions tolerance is +0.01 mm
and for notches outer dimensions -0.01 mm...
Higher Accuracy will be better...
I couldn't attach anything but the assembly, parts may be sent by any way you want...

@ Jay Singh,
Yes, you are right. Sorry for taking time. Actually I am preparing a revised design by eliminating all sorts of negative possibilities, which is requiring a thorough analysis.
However, I will return to you as soon as possible with a best design.

@ Rupak B - It's great idea but the 5 sides aren't truly flat pack they have a wide footprint or surface area rather than being able to stack ontop of each other - they must come 100% apart for upgradeability too. We await your new designs.
@joshhubbuch - Yes but its going to be costly + heavy so whatever design you do will score less due to this.

Is one centimeter thick acceptable??
Dear Jay,
Thanks for your opinion.
But the hamster will not get access to the zipper by any means. It is because, the zippers are completely at outside of the box and when the sides are closed by a zipper, the inner edge of each side will completely pressed each other to make the box rigid in assembling condition. Only we have to paste the zipper on the outside of box edge, in such a way, so that, it will completely pressed each other side when the zipper will close.
So, you can think over it further, and in the meanwhile I am also trying to develop further better solution for the above said box.

RB

@CS ok waiting - @Yontash I really don't mind as long as manufacture can read but solidworks preffered.
@Reda please read all the description + comments. The box can't have anything on the outside - needs to 100% flush.
That's a great fiting but can't see how it fixes to the bottom - concerned about it coming out - when slided out and moved.
Great interlocking system will it hold without any screws - need technical drawing ot see how thin/thick things are becoming, but really good, I think this could work but I think we need to go up 6-8mm per sheet due to the thin cuts.
Nothing can be protroding needs to be 100% flush -please read description + comments
I like the concept but same as 27

Hi jay singh,
I do not understand you want screws or other elements that take? or self-snap?Please ..
we explain what is not clear
Thanks

You only want the designs in Solidworks? Not Autodesk Inventor?
Hi Jay,
I am working on it. It can be made sleek and user friendly.

@adam I agree with 3mm thickness is too thin I was thinking of bending the sheet somehow the way sheet metal is and somehow fixing.
Like I said we can go upto 10mm but remember a 12 year old girl or even younger is going to open and assemble this - we are trying to make it that easy but keeping in mind weight + cost of each process, we save in shipping + storage.
what happened to the 3mm thickness specification. you're not going to get anything that snap together in this large of a sheet size that is structurally sound.
Hi Jay Singh,
To be confirmed, what is mean by 5 clear plastic sheets snap together to make a box "without any tools"? Is screw accepted? Sorry but I just confuse by your description of without any tools.
Thanks
@bravo screws are accepted i want to change the description I doesn't let me so. Screws, pins other fasterns are accepted was thinking even metal cam system one turn and its locked but you need to understand these fixtures aren't usually used in sheet platic plus you need to make the thickness of the sheet 6-10mm which is ok but thinner the better not too thin but 6mm is about right. We dont mind going up to 10mm but doing so needs to solve the problem in the best way.

Create bas relief panel models to be CNC routed from MDF sheet. I will provide exact panel dimensions, sketches of the design and images to be modeled. Photos of similar examples attached.
Angled Keyboard Slide
The design requires a clean simple method with minimized parts and manufacturing costs. Product is low volume, 250 to 500 pieces per year. We are interested in minimizing capital tooling costs. Design challenge is to design a keyboard slide platform that sits at a 32.5 degree angle (see attached documents). Keyboard slide needs to easily lock in upward position when not in use, and needs to easily be released and slide downward when in use. The keyboard slide is on a cart platform, so when the cart is being moved around, if it gets bumped, we do not want the keyboard slide to dislodge and slip into the down position.

Engineering design: extending foundation pile support
3 different components need to join together to form 1 piece.
The combined assembly is a clamp on system, that clamps onto 36" diameter pipe, then when hydraulic pistons are activated the arms extend and lock out to approximately 45deg.
I have attached schematics showing in 2d what I am after. Potential for significant future work for winning designer.
