A concept of a potential layout of stretchable strain sensors and associated electronics to be extruded onto compression wear for detecting several biometric functions including respiration, heart rate, muscle activation, VO2 max, etc... This design was used as a jumping-off point for numerous wearable sensors, medical devices, and consumer athletic training products.
