Robot Endifactor Reverse Engineering
In order to improve upon a base design we were required to reverse engineer an existing endifactor for a robot palletizing system. This required the completion of field measurements, verification and the development of a complete CAD model including manufacturing grade drawing set. From this base we then proceeded to develop modifications to the design to improve the functionality of the overall tool. These modifications had to be completed without greatly increasing the weight of the assembly as each additional pound would affect the maximum moments created by the robot palletizing arm.
