Senior Research & Development Eng Associate Nortek Air Solutions · Full-time Aug 2010 – Present 15 yrs 9 mos Tualatin, OR, United States Designed various cleanroom and hospital ceiling products for our customers. Layout work was mainly done in CAD and then modeled in Inventor for manufacturing. I also assisted in modifying and creating families in Revit for our custom ceiling system. Involved in Kaizen events aimed at improving and converting 2D drawings to 3D models and drawings in order to take advantage of newly purchased tube laser equipment, as well as retain valuable tribal knowledge in our 3D models. Developed rule bases that drove standardization and automation of cleanroom and cleansuite products. Designed Inventor models using ilogic coding which were handed off to programming dept. for further .NET programming development. Position required testing, prototyping and validation activities of models. Trained current design team members on the use of such models. Position required strong mathematical, analytical, and written/ oral communications skills. Proven self-directed mind set with the ability to prioritize projects with minimal supervisor input. Maintenance of standard models/ drawings including rev control and communicating updates to other departments.

Freelance Architecture Designer As a freelance drafting and design professional I have assisted clients who are interested in having an accurate 2D layout of their homes for any home improvement projects. I use a Leica Disto II laser measuring tool to provide as-built plan view layouts of customers existing homes. I have also produced partial construction prints and electrical layouts for general contractors to assist them in their home flipping projects.
