I am a CAD and Blender designer with a completed Computer Engineering degree from Villanova University (2020–2024) and hands-on automotive design experience as lead CAD developer for Nova Racing, Villanova’s Formula SAE team, from 2021 to 2024. I combine an engineering approach to parts and assemblies with the visual modeling, animation, and graphics skills I have developed in Blender since around age 12.
MECHANICAL CAD & PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
I work on individual components, assemblies, product concepts, enclosures, brackets, housings, homeware, and custom 3D models. I can develop a model from drawings, dimensions, sketches, reference images, or an existing CAD file, and help refine it as the requirements become clearer. My focus is on geometry that is understandable, editable, and appropriate to its intended use: component fit, clearances, wall thickness, assembly relationships, and a structure that supports later revisions.
FSAE DESIGN LEADERSHIP
As Nova Racing’s lead CAD developer, I worked on car-part development in SolidWorks and contributed to FMEA and stress-testing work. This connected modeling decisions with engineering questions: how a component fits into the wider system, where potential failure modes need attention, and how a design can be evaluated and improved. I bring that same care to client projects, identifying assumptions early and working through revisions rather than treating the first model as the final answer.
BLENDER MODELING, ANIMATION & VISUALIZATION
I first became interested in Blender at around age 12 and progressed into more complex animations and graphics. I am comfortable moving between technical CAD work and visual 3D design. I can help with detailed hard-surface models, product visualization, scene development, animation, and graphics that communicate how a design looks or works. This is useful when a project needs both an editable model and a clear visual presentation.
SOFTWARE & WORKFLOW FLEXIBILITY
My software experience includes SolidWorks, Blender, Onshape, Autodesk Fusion, and Shapr3D. I am comfortable learning and adapting to different software environments, and I choose the workflow around the required deliverable. We can agree on the source application, file formats, units, level of detail, and downstream use before work begins, whether the model is intended for another designer, a prototype, a render, or further engineering development.
3D PRINTING & PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT
I can prepare and revise digital models for prototyping, including size variants and separate components. I pay attention to clean geometry, practical feature dimensions, orientation, interfaces, and the limitations of the intended process. For tooling or mold-related work, I distinguish the product geometry from the master or tooling geometry and document the assumptions that need a physical trial. Recent samples include a parametric tray family and paired leather-forming tooling with test coupons. Those recent samples have computational geometry checks; their physical printing and forming tests remain pending.
WHAT WORKING TOGETHER LOOKS LIKE
I start by understanding what the part or model needs to do, what references are available, and what a successful result means for you. From there, I can help define a manageable first milestone, develop the model, review it against the agreed dimensions and constraints, and incorporate feedback. Deliverables can include editable source files, agreed export formats, renders, and notes explaining important design choices. Analysis or physical-performance requirements are scoped explicitly so that assumptions and verification are clear.
