Mecahanical CAD Design Private Industrial Client · Part-time Jan 2025 – May 2025 4 mos United States Designed multiple hydraulic press systems for a private industrial client, developing mechanical concepts and detailed CAD models based on specific load and operating requirements.

Responsibilities included hydraulic cylinder sizing, mechanical calculations, component selection, 3D CAD modeling, assembly development, and integration of the hydraulic and mechanical systems. Designs were developed with consideration for structural strength, manufacturability, component compatibility, and ease of assembly.

The projects involved adapting the press designs to different requirements while maintaining reliable mechanical performance and practical manufacturing considerations.

3D Printer — Personal Build Designed a complete CoreXY 3D printer from the ground up using SolidWorks, covering both custom mechanical design and the integration of commercially available components.

The project includes the design of the structural frame, X/Y motion system, Z-axis, X carriage, bed support system, motor mounts, belt routing, lead-screw system, mounting interfaces, and homing mechanisms.

A significant part of the project involves **Component Selection & CAD Integration**: researching commercially available components such as linear rails, bearings, lead screws, motors, pulleys, belts, fasteners, and other mechanical hardware, evaluating their specifications and suitability, and accurately incorporating them into the CAD assembly.

The work also involves developing custom parts around the selected components, ensuring proper interfaces, clearances, alignment, and compatibility between the different systems.
