Design and Manufucturing Engineer aait · Self-employed Oct 2025 – Jun 2026 8 mos Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Led the end-to-end design and prototyping of a CNC plasma cutting machine, covering mechanical design, structural analysis, and component selection. Developed detailed CAD models and engineering drawings for the machine frame, gantry system, and motion mechanisms. Designed and integrated the motion control system including stepper/servo motor drives, linear guides, and lead screw/rack-and-pinion assemblies. Configured the plasma torch mounting and height control system. Translated design specifications into a functional prototype, conducting testing and iterative refinement to meet precision and performance requirements.
