About
I design hardware systems end to end — mechanical, electronics, and embedded — and take them from concept through simulation and design-for-manufacture to a working, bench-validated prototype. My core depth is mechanical design and simulation; electronics and firmware are how I make the whole product function, not a separate bolt-on.
Mechanical & simulation (my demonstrated depth):
• CATIA V5 (Part Design, Generative Shape Design) and SolidWorks
• CFD / flow simulation (SolidWorks Flow Simulation; transonic & aerodynamic studies, area-ruling)
• Structural FEA in ANSYS
• Design for additive manufacturing (SLS), DFM, enclosure and mechanism design
Electronics & embedded (integral to my prototyping work):
• Schematic and PCB design (KiCad / Altium)
• Microcontroller firmware in C/C++ (STM32, ESP32)
• Board bring-up and bench validation (lab PSU, oscilloscope, rework)
System integration:
• I bridge mechanical, electrical, and software so subsystems fit and function together — the part most single-discipline freelancers can't cover.
I'm a named inventor on a patented wearable passive-sensing architecture (IP assigned to the company), so I'm comfortable working under NDA on early-stage, IP-sensitive hardware.

▸ Designed the complete system architecture: engine block modifications, custom water jacket, supercharger integration, fuel rail, and electronic ignition—all within the original engine’s mounting footprint.

▸ Designed and simulated the complete augmenter assembly.
▸ Developed a strategic multi-material approach: PETG for thermal and electrical insulation, Nylon 12 SLS for structural parts that endure vibration, and 3D-printed stainless steel for hot-section components exposed to thermal shock.
▸ Iterated the design through multiple physical prototypes, learning where conventional geometries fail under the combination of extreme heat and high-frequency vibration. -
Digital Ballistic Simulation System
▸ Created the overall product design and system architecture, defining how the laser emitter, receiver network, display, and compute module integrate into a single handheld form factor.
▸ Developed a custom communication protocol that carries ballistic parameters between devices in real time—enabling weapon-specific behaviour that traditional laser tag can’t replicate.
▸ Worked with our electronics team to integrate all custom electronic systems into an energy-efficient, compact package that doesn’t compromise gameplay ergonomics.
▸ Led business development efforts: funding research, partner outreach, and market analysis for both entertainment and professional training applications.
