About
I am a landscape architect focused on the design of community-oriented living environments, including co-housing, co-operative housing, and emerging eco-village models.
My work sits at the intersection of ecological design, shared space planning, and community development, with a particular interest in how the physical environment can support more collaborative, resilient ways of living. I studied Environmental Design (Landscape & Urbanism) and worked as a Junior Landscape Architect at Stantec in Ottawa, contributing to public realm and landscape projects that required balancing ecological systems, urban conditions, and social use.
Prior to this, I co-founded and operated a worker-owned ecological landscaping co-operative, where I gained hands-on experience in democratic governance, land stewardship, and collaborative decision-making. I later served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Worker Co-operative Federation, further deepening my understanding of co-operative structures and member-driven organizations.
I am particularly interested in how shared outdoor spaces—courtyards, pathways, productive landscapes, and gathering areas—can foster social connection and collective ownership within housing developments.
Alongside my design work, I use visual tools including CAD, 2D rendering, photography, and video to help communicate ideas clearly and support early-stage project development, community engagement, and storytelling.
Having lived and worked internationally, I bring a cross-cultural perspective and adaptability to diverse project contexts.
My long-term focus is to contribute to co-operative housing, co-housing communities, and ecologically grounded developments that offer more accessible, participatory alternatives to conventional housing models.
