I am a Mechanical Design Engineer with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a strong command of CAD modeling using SolidWorks and Fusion 360, backed by hands-on experience in GD&T, sheet metal design, DFM, and DFA principles. My approach to every project combines technical precision with a deep understanding of fabrication processes, including MIG welding, break forming, spot welding, injection molding, and rapid prototyping via 3D printing — allowing me to design with manufacturability and cost-efficiency at the forefront.
My portfolio includes a Centrifuge Tube Reader designed using SolidWorks sheet metal features for Validere, achieving 97% reading accuracy compared to 80% with manual methods, and a Tube Holder fabricated through MIG welding and break forming that reduced human operator error by 53%. For Axis Labs, I designed a Solar Panel Test Fixture integrating Arduino-based electrical infrastructure with DFA-optimized assembly. I developed low-cost thermostat packaging for Ecobee using SolidWorks, reducing production costs by 62% through direct coordination with manufacturers. I also engineered the Drill Guard using injection molding with a calcium carbonate filler to achieve the required elastic modulus and strength, and led the full CAD development of Hapee — a health tracking system — producing detailed 3D assemblies and 2D engineering drawings in Fusion 360 with 95% measurement accuracy.
