The activities comprised the development of conceptual, basic, and detailed 2D and 3D engineering models, supporting the design and verification of industrial equipment. Structural analyses were performed using the Finite Element Method (FEM) to assess equipment structural integrity, in compliance with NBR 8400 and NBR 8800 standards.
In addition, analytical calculations were prepared for the design and verification of assembly and lifting devices, following the requirements of NBR 8400, NBR 8800, and AWS D1.1. Detailed engineering drawings were produced to support field assembly procedures, including the evaluation of assembly interferences and fit-up conditions.
The scope of work also included the development of equipment assembly procedures, as well as the preparation of engineering planning documents and delivery schedules. Throughout the implementation and assembly phases, technical support was provided to both internal teams and clients, ensuring proper execution of activities in accordance with engineering best practices and applicable standards.

In the role of Trainee Project Engineer, responsibilities included the development of conceptual, basic, and detailed 2D and 3D engineering models, supporting the design and analysis of steelmaking equipment. Field surveys were conducted to collect technical data and to evaluate the structural integrity and operating conditions of industrial equipment in steel plants.
The position involved the preparation of structural, thermal, thermo-structural, and fatigue analyses aimed at assessing the structural integrity and remaining life of steelmaking equipment through Finite Element Analysis (FEA). These analyses were performed in accordance with applicable national and international standards, including NBR 8400, NBR 8800, AISE No. 9 and No. 32, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) Section VIII, Division 2, ASME BPVC Section II, Part D, and AWS D1.1.
Additionally, activities included the modernization and retrofit of existing steelmaking equipment based on numerical simulations and engineering assessments. Analytical calculations were developed to support the design and verification of assembly fixtures and devices, tolerance evaluations, and cooling calculations for interference-fit assemblies.
The role also encompassed the preparation of formal Structural Integrity Assessment Reports for steelmaking equipment, as well as the development of engineering planning documents and schedules to manage and track technical deliverables. Throughout the project lifecycle, technical support was provided to clients during the design, troubleshooting, and assembly phases, ensuring compliance with engineering best practices and applicable standards.
