For my Master’s thesis, I designed and developed a 3D-printed soft robotic gripper to assess fruit ripeness and stiffness. The gripper design was optimized using CAD and finite element analysis to ensure sensitivity and repeatability.
I built a complete sensing system using pressure and encoder feedback, and trained machine learning models to classify ripeness levels with high accuracy. This project combined mechanical design, soft robotics, and AI, with a strong focus on experimental validation and system integration.
