Experience

  • Head of Design Titans Product Design Ltd · Self-employed Jun 2021 – Present 3 yrs 6 mos undefined, United Kingdom At Titans Product Design, I have designed many successful products and lead many successful projects. Projects of note are the TX-9 Whaleshark model tank, material research and development into an ESD (electro-static discharge) safe resin, modelling and production of the Astute Class Submarine 1:300 scale model, and custom business card holder for pet services.

These can all be viewed on my instagram and website.

This has been a varied role and I have had experience designing many different products, all of which have added to my skill as a designer.
  • Application Engineer Graphite Additive Manufacturing · Full-time Jul 2019 – Nov 2021 2 yrs 4 mos undefined, United Kingdom At Graphite AM, I worked closely with the 3D printers, advising customers and clients on design changes to better suit the Additive Manufacturing method.

I worked with the following technologies during my time at GraphiteAM:
    - SLS (Selective Laser Sintering)
    - SLA (Stereolithography)
    - FDM/FFF (Fused Deposition Modelling)
    - MJF (Multi-Jet Fusion by HP)
    - SLM (Selective Laser Melting for Metal printing)

Education

  • Swansea University Aerospace Engineer, Engineering, 2:1 Hons 2015 – 2019 Activities and Societies: Save The Planet Engineering Challenge White Water Kayaking Canoe Polo Boardriders Ski and Snowboard Society During my time at Swansea University, I was a big part of the Canoe Club; a safety team member on white water and a member of the A-team for Canoe Polo. I lead a number of training sessions using props I had designed and manufactured myself.

My dissertation looked into the feasibility of 3D printed components on UAVs and Drones. For which I carried out a number of material testing research activities and assessed the optimal parameters for strength and stiffness of 3D printed parts.

I was the Chief Engineer for our 3rd year design team and in charge of control systems and the prototype scale model of our high endurance UAV. We were one of 6 teams who's UAV flew successfully out of the 18 teams in our year.

Other experience

  • Project Management I have a diploma in Agile Project Management which helps me manage multiple projects at once resulting in 100% on time, in full delivery. It also enables me to accurately quote projects and give realistic costs and timescales.
  • art and design I am proficient with physical materials (such as ink and paint) as well as digital materials and can produce high quality concept art and finished products. I believe that CAD is an extremely powerful tool which, when coupled with complementary skills, can achieve anything.
