About

I have an Associate’s degree in Engineering Design Technology. I worked for a year and a half as a Production Engineer and for a year and a half as an Associate Designer. I am skilled in AutoCAD, Solidworks and CATIA. Additionally, I’m very organized and have excellent time management skills.

Experience

  • Associate Designer Proterra · Full-time Jun 2021 – Jan 2023 1 yrs 7 mos Greenville, SC, United States Electrical Routing Design
o Using CAD to create electrical wiring for electric city busses.
o Helped design the best routes for electrical harnesses to run throughout the entire bus.
    • Software programming test box
o Designing the wire routing for a programming test box.
o Making sure all needed components are connected to one another.
o The CAD model allows the production associates to have a 3D image in front of them to show how to assemble the box correctly and what each wire connects to.
    • Bookmarks
o Creating essentially a catalog of electrical connectors
o Using organization techniques to put connectors into certain categories to become easier to locate and insert into drawings.
  • Production Engineer MP Husky · Full-time Sep 2019 – Jun 2021 1 yrs 9 mos Simpsonville, SC, United States • Design cable tray parts
o Utilize AutoCAD to create 3D and 2D drawings for the production area and for customers upon request.
o Design of new cable tray side rail: I was the leader of this project to design a new side rail for the company. This side rail needed to be able to match up with competitor side rails and outperform our current side rail. It had to be cost efficient and able to run through our clincher (cold welder).
    • Program cable tray parts
    • Projects
o Dimension change revisions: Taking pre-existing drawings and altering them to follow the new dimensional tolerance requested by production.
o Chord lengths: for angled parts with a radius, production uses the distance from one end of the part to the other to properly form the radius and angle. I went through all vertical parts in the system, measured out the distance required and programmed it into our system to help the production workers accurately form the part.
o Creating a “How to Manual”: I was tasked with the project to make a how-to manual for future engineers coming into a production engineering position. What it includes is step by step instructions for how to do daily engineering tasks and more common projects that the production engineering team takes on.
  • BMW Co-op BMW Group · Full-time Jan 2017 – Aug 2017 7 mos Spartanburg, SC, United States • Completed first rotation, spring 2017 semester, in Body Shop
o Robot cycle time and bottleneck analysis
o Various other small projects to prepare for new body shop
    ▪ Analyzed robot down time
    • Completed second rotation, summer 2017 semester, with Central Maintenance
o Created labels that included data matrices to aid in recording downtime, looking up spare parts, and accessing part history.
o Verified robots for the new body shop
    ▪ Made sure all robot documents were properly documented by line builders and verified that each robot can be properly put into maintenance position
