A passionate Mechanical Engineer who have 4 years work experience in Electronic Manufacturing and Assembly sector. My duty in full time job is to setup new assembly line, and run new product NPI engineering builds. This including assembly fixtures and work station design, fixture fabrication (Including SMT fixture and pallets) based on process requirement, design product assembly process, troubleshoot and solve mechanical issue during engineering build (Including plastic part tooling issue, waterproof issue, acoustic issue, etc...) based on 5 main factors (Man, Material, Machine, Method, Environment).
My main job has trained me to be an expert on jig, fixture & machine design. The core CAD skills to accomplish this task is parts assembly in Solidworks, product nest design based on the external flat and curve surface of the product (Similar to plastic part mold design), fundamental knowledge of industrial standard parts like screw, bearing, bushes, pneumatic and electrical parts, especially their use case, common dimensions and assembly method.

A Mechanical Engineer of a contract manufacturer who had successfully run line setup and pilot runs for 6 new products (Specialize in industrial smartphone and smart home devices) for the company.
My main job scope and experience:
1. New product pilot run engineer
2. Setup assembly process and assembly line based on product design
3. Design jig, fixture and machine to support assembly process based on the product assembly process
4. Fabricate jig, fixture and machine using in house CNC mill, lathe, bench drill and other machinery tools.
5. Lead the team for engineering builds (Prototype, EVT, DVT, PVT)
6. Troubleshoot mechanical issues found on each stages, including parts stacking and tolerance issue, waterproof issue, acoustic issue, camera issue, etc... For example, the stacking tolerance between the sidekey of a smartphone which consist of plastic button, rubber plunger for waterproof sealing, switch component on circuit board, circuit board mounting tolerance.
