About
With the software I have available I can create models, assemblies, and drawings for any and all projects.
I’ve worked in different industries including aerospace, national defense, and power generation.
Current role is in the power generation field and is a prototype position which includes the design and construction of prototype designs.
I also run FEA and take care of analysis for different aspects of designs although the software I have available for contract work is strictly modeling and drawing related. I am available for FEA consultation for static simulations.

Sheet metal design
I have hands-on experience designing and developing sheet metal components using SolidWorks, with a strong focus on manufacturability and real-world fabrication processes. In my current role, I work with sheet metal on a daily basis—creating flat patterns, managing bend allowances and K-factors, and ensuring designs align with press brake and laser cutting capabilities.
I’m experienced in building fully detailed 3D models and production-ready 2D drawings, including proper callouts for bends, tolerances, hardware, and finishes. I regularly apply DFM/DFA principles to reduce cost, simplify assembly, and improve repeatability across builds. This includes optimizing part geometry, minimizing secondary operations, and standardizing features for consistent fabrication.
Additionally, I’ve established drawing standards and workflows to improve communication with vendors and streamline production. My work supports the full product lifecycle—from initial concept through prototyping and into manufacturing—ensuring designs are both functional and efficient to produce.
