I’m a Mechanical and Railway Systems Engineer and a registered Graduate Engineer with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ). I enjoy helping people turn ideas into practical reliable and manufacturable mechanical designs.
I’ve worked hands-on in design offices, workshops and industrial environments, so I understand both how things should look on a screen and how they actually work in real life. My focus is always on safe, efficient and cost-effective solutions that make sense for your project.
How I can help you:
-Mechanical product and system design
-3D CAD modeling in SolidWorks
-FEA and CFD analysis
-Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
-Technical drawings and documentation
-Improving existing designs for reliability and maintenance
My experience includes:
-Supporting mechanical product and process design at Thermoflow Engineering Limited, working on manufacturable and standards-compliant solutions.
-Maintaining and repairing locomotives and railway equipment at Tanzania-Zambia Railway Authority (TAZARA), including machining, fabrication, diagnostics and safety improvements.
-Inspecting and maintaining fire safety systems in industrial facilities to meet safety regulations.
Projects I’ve worked on:
-Six Degrees of Freedom (6-DOF) Desktop Robotic Arm:
Designed a desktop robotic arm in SolidWorks for educational applications, with a payload capacity of ~1 kg
and a reach of ~320mm.
Conducted kinematic simulations and FEA analysis to evaluate joint performance, link strength and structural
stability.
Applied Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles for cost-effective fabrication using 3D-printed and
lightweight components.
-Automatic Whiteboard Cleaner:
Designed, analyzed, fabricated and integrated electronics for smooth and reliable operation.
-Maize Grinding Machine:
Designed and analyzed components to improve efficiency and reduce power consumption.
