I am a design engineer with experience in designing products and tooling for both low- and high-volume manufacturing. Whether you need to reverse-engineer a broken component, model your on-shored product, model and render a new product or concept, produce RFQ-ready technical drawings with full GD&T, or develop quality, easy-to-use tooling/jigs/fixtures for your manufacturing line, I can do it! I am a Certified SolidWorks Professional and an expert in Fusion360 - licenses for both of which I own. In particular, I excel at building parametric, equation-driven models and design tables at the part, sub-assembly, and top-level assembly levels. I am also experienced at parametrically linking Solidworks drawings for automatic information updates. My manufacturing experience includes injection molding, thermoforming, extrusion, acoustic felt, sheet metal, steel/concrete pipe, additive manufacturing, 3-axis CNC, and product assembly. I've reverse-engineered, designed, and revised hundreds of custom products and tools. I have worked the production floor myself, so I know what to look for and ask about when designing for production. I can build small- to mid-size mechanical prototypes, such as a small prototype refrigerator that I designed and built in the second half of 2022. Born and raised in Houston, Texas. I completed high school in Conroe, Texas (Conroe High School) and was accepted to attend studies at Texas A & M University. Due to a life changing event I was unable to complete my studies there and returned home to be employed by the local electric utility company, Gulf States Utilities. Hired as a line helper in 1979, I worked in construction and maintenance of the electrical utility facilities working my way up thru the ranks from helper to apprentice lineman then to lineman 4th class then to lineman 3rd class. Once I had achieved 3rd class I was able to transition to the service department where I was trusted to work on a truck by myself unsupervised working customer service tickets and troubleshooting outages that occurred on the lines. In 1991 Gulf States Utilities was purchased by Entergy and around this time I transitioned back into the line crew in the Woodlands Network to continue construction and maintenance work on most underground but occasionally overhead lines as well. April of 1999 I transferred to the Design West group of Entergy Texas, Inc. as an Engineer Assistant and a short time later, I earned the title of Senior Engineer Assistant. I presently continue to hold that title. My present job description entails meeting with customers to determine their electrical needs, design Entergy's facilities to serve these customers, procure easements for Entergy's facilities, draft contracts and collect contributions and assemble construction job packets to hand off to our line crews to build. During the last 18 years of my employment, I have used MS Office Suite's Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Access and I have used Auto CAD on a daily basis and in the past 4 years I have used GIS, Pole Foreman and other software.

I am a passionate, fresh designer with a natural talent for visual design. My personal focus is on architecture and interior spaces, but my creative and practical approach has a wide range of uses. I use Revit the most, and I can create components (families), floorplans, 3D and photorealistic renders, section views, and more. I am also skilled at AutoCAD and can create isometric, 2D, and 3D drawings and blocks.
