About
I ran my own laser cutting and fabrication shops in Houston for 8 years, so I check drawings the way the shop floor will read them. I catch what costs you a recut before it happens.
What I do:
- Fab-Ready Reviews: I go through your model or drawing set and send back a marked-up PDF and a fix list ranked by shop cost. Bend relief, holes too close to bends or edges, slots the laser can't cut, parts too big for the sheet, tolerances nobody can hold.
- Shop and fabrication drawings: steel, sheet metal, stairs, rails and laser-cut parts. Dimensioned for a tape measure, big readable text, a cut list and BOM, and step-by-step assembly sheets with a picture on every step.
- CAD cleanup: PDF or sketch to CAD, DXF cleanup for laser, plasma and CNC, flat patterns, nesting.
How I work:
- Fixed prices, quoted after I see the files.
- I work in Rhino and Fusion and deliver DXF, DWG, STEP and PDF.
- I use my own automated checking and drafting tools, some AI-assisted, to work fast. I review and sign off every deliverable myself. If your project is under NDA, tell me and it stays off any AI tools.
- Advisory drafting and design-for-fabrication review only. I'm not a licensed engineer and don't stamp drawings; anything structural or life-safety goes to your engineer.
