I have been involved in the film and television industry of Southern California for over 20 years. I worked for a 3D modeling and animation software company based in San Diego, CA called Pixels Inc., maker of the Mac OS Pixels 3D suite of modeling, animation and rendering tools. Pixels also created the Tempest Renderer which used Total impact G4 multi-chip cards (up to 52 processors in a box about the size of a PC tower). While at Pixels, I worked with companies like Digital Domain, Industrial Light and Magic, and Apple Inc. (The software was a Mac only suite). I was also responsible for building software plugin installers and helping national and international customers with sales, installations, and general trouble shooting of both technical and creative natures. During that time, I also attended and graduated from the Art Institute of California with an Associate of Science in 3D, holding the distinction of receiving the "Best Portfolio" award for the class of 2001. Welcome to 3rDimension Engineering. I have a bachelor’s degree of science in mechanical engineering from USC and I reside in Los Angeles. I happen to be a relentless problem solver with experience working with Solidworks to produce 3D models and technical documentation for components and assemblies. I recently developed prototype robot grippers for various robotics and factory automation systems with Numatic Engineering. These projects required careful measurement and analysis which led to 3D modeling that was often used to produce drawings for manufacturing or support. My skills are mostly mechanical, but I also wired Control Panels for several years . I use a close facsimile of ACAD called Bricscad. I have also worked with Solidworks.
