After receiving three associates degrees and an architectural drafting certificate, Athalia transferred to UC Merced. At UC Merced Athalia was exposed to various disciplines of engineering through her coursework, research, internships and Award Winning Senior Project. Her work includes solar thermal energy, photovoltaic energy, materials, strengths, waste handling, and electrical engineering.
