I am a machinist and fabricator first, but have extensive experience with 2D and 3D CAD design, modeling, drafting and CAM programming. While not any type of engineer on paper, I have collaborated with some of the smartest people (engineers and technicians alike) I believe exist in several very specific corners of the manufacturing world. My number one goal in designing a part/product/etc. for someone, is to fully understand the expectations of the client...then hopefully carrying those initial ideas to the final stage. Approaching everything with a meticulous, analytical mindset helps enable me to devise more efficient methods of solving problems. What have you got for me to look at?

Whether the design consisted of developing two-dimensional or three-dimensional designs to meet customer requirements such as new tooling, document changes to existing tooling, or enhancing the integrity of the manufacturing of the specified products. In September 1999 became recognized as a Certified Mechanical Design Drafter, as well as obtaining Professional Membership into the American Design Drafter Association.

He has held positions from draftsman all the way to Director of R/D and has worked with some of the most famous names in the bicycle world and other industries. He is called on regularly in the auto racing industry, consumer products, electric bicycles and surveillance camera industry. He is the long time leader of the Knoxville Solidworks User Group and skilled in many CAD programs. He is partners with his wife in Edge Engineering and they both play a variety of musical instruments as well as enjoy recumbent cycling and traveling. They have three adult sons and many friends and are active in their communities and church.
