I am a jewelry designer and CAD specialist working professionally since 2012 through my own independent studio in Rome, Italy, where I handle both design and production of custom jewelry pieces. My foundation in traditional goldsmithing and stone setting comes from direct hands-on training within my family. My father and uncle are both experienced goldsmiths and stone setters with decades of work in Rome, and I was trained early in workshop environments where precision, craftsmanship, and production standards were essential. Alongside traditional skills, I trained as a wax model maker (lost-wax casting technique), developing strong abilities in creating detailed wax models specifically prepared for casting and fine jewelry production. In addition to my independent work, I spent one year working in one of the most established and high-volume casting workshops in Rome. There I gained practical experience in industrial casting workflows, metal behavior, quality control, and production optimization under real commercial conditions. This experience strengthened my ability to design not only for aesthetics, but also for feasibility, durability, and efficient manufacturing. My core expertise includes: Jewelry design and development 3D CAD modeling (Rhino 3D) Wax modeling for lost-wax casting Stone setting understanding and technical integration Production-ready design for manufacturing Custom jewelry development from concept to final product I work with a production-oriented mindset. Pipe stress analysis and design engineer with more than eight years of office and field experience in power plant projects (gas and steam turbines, boiler plants), process piping (blast furnace, direct reduction plants, slurry transportation, cryogenic piping, etc.) and oil & gas projects (refineries, oil fields). Developed competences in most important piping codes (including ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, EN-13480, etc.), and acquired proficiency in all aspects of static and dynamic pipe stress analyses (seismic, PSV transients, water hammer, harmonic vibrations, high-frequency vibrations, etc.) including generating critical line list, preliminary route studies and equipment arrangements, building load cases to satisfy code requirements, support design and analysis and fatigue assessments. In-depth knowledge of piping layout design using 3D software. In addition to pipe stress analysis and piping design, which is the primary field of expertise, during the work at the University of Belgrade (as PhD candidate), developed skills in pressure vessel analysis (ASME VIII-1, ASME VIII-2 and EN-13445), process equipment sizing, process design and optimization, heat and mass transfer calculations, fluid flow calculations (steady state and transient, including interaction with the stress analysis), CFD calculations, programming as well as advanced measurement and research techniques which has all proven extremely valuable in the practice. First author and co-author of several engineering and scientific research papers.
