I am a highly skilled and experienced Architect Designer and Draftsperson with a comprehensive background in Chief Design Officer, technical office work, and architectural design. I hold a Master’s Degree in Architecture (2012-2016), a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (2010-2013), and a Technician Degree (2005-2007). My professional journey began in a workshop technical office (2008-2010), followed by a role in a company technical office (2010-2013). Since 2013, I have been working as a Chief Design Officer, overseeing various construction projects with a focus on innovative design and efficient project execution. My expertise is further validated by a Skilled Assessment from VETASSESS as a Construction Project Manager in 2021. I am proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, 3D Max, and MSP. I am a designer and engineer that has worked on a very wide variety of projects over the years. Solidworks is my 3D modelling program of choice. My background is that I grew up in Birmingham, studied and worked in Bristol and currently live in London. I have a Masters in Mechanical Engineering, and worked a total of six years at Airbus (formerly British Aerospace). I ended up as a Structural Design Engineer, working with CAD, focussing on wing design for research and new projects. I left Airbus to pursue further studies and completed the Innovation Design Engineering course, a combined MA/MSc co-run by the Royal College of Art and Imperial College in the summer of 2011. I have been freelancing since then on a wide variety of tasks, running the gamut from creative to technical for such clients as Epson, Intel, Loowatt, the Royal College Of Art, Seeper, Spark Create, Studio XO and WPP. I have helped make fashion garments with integrated technology for major pop stars, exhibition designs on the future of retail and even a waterless toilet for use in developing countries. I am always on the lookout for new, interesting adventures and challenges, and work on many projects in my spare time to increase my learning.
