I am a Mechanical Engineering Designer and certified as an Applied Science Technologist (AScT). I have spent time working in the fields of aerospace, astronomical instrumentation, and marine engineering. By working in a discipline that I thoroughly enjoy, it has become easy to customarily improve my skills and add knowledge. I have a passion for 3D printing and spend considerable time developing prototypes, consumer products, and creative works. I love working with clients to take ideas all the way from initial concept to final production. I develop complex ideas into buildable, working systems by bringing together design, electronics, code, and validation for a final system that works reliably and reproducibly. Background PhD neuroscientist and biomedical engineering postdoc at UBC’s School of Biomedical Engineering. My job is to design experiments, develop research instruments, and pair them with analysis pipelines for publications and open-source release. This same toolkit extends to non-research projects, including prototype mechanisms, instrumentation, and production-ready CAD.
