I have a degree in ocean and naval architectural engineering, which means I am a mechanical engineer as well as a naval architect. I am a young and eager engineer interested in the world of marine robotics as both a hobby and a profession. I have significant experience with computer aided design, specifically Rhinoceros 3D, and some Solidworks and AutoCAD. I also have my own 3D printer that I enjoy experimenting with.

I develop complex ideas into buildable, working systems by bringing together design, electronics, code, and validation for a final system that works reliably and reproducibly. Background PhD neuroscientist and biomedical engineering postdoc at UBC’s School of Biomedical Engineering. My job is to design experiments, develop research instruments, and pair them with analysis pipelines for publications and open-source release. This same toolkit extends to non-research projects, including prototype mechanisms, instrumentation, and production-ready CAD. Curious, deliberate, methodical, and with attention to detail. Good working with my hands when rapid prototyping, but prefer ideating, designing, and 3D modelling parts for manufacturing. Best with wooden structures (timber frame, mass timber) but enjoy ideating and designing simpler mechanical parts as well.
